dc.descriptionConsiderable work has been directed during the last 10 years in all the aeronautically important countries toward a solution of the problem of controlling, by proper design, the spinning characteristics of airplanes in order to prevent the generally fatal accidents which have occurred in tail spins. This document summarizes this work and reports the conclusions. It also describes the results from airplane flight tests and from wind tunnel tests of models.en_US
