The purpose of this report is to illustrate with a concrete example one of the uses of the Airplane Performance and Design Charts of the Air Service Information Circular, Vol. 2, No., 183, i.e., that of analyzing or predicting the performance of an airplane fitted with a supercharging device for increasing the power available from the engine-propeller set at various altitudes. An analysis of the effect of the General Electric Co., supercharger on the performance of the LePere USA-C-11 airplane is first made, and the results are then used to predict the effect on the performance of the Glenn Martin Bomber when fitted with the same supercharger.en_US
