The object of the test described in this document is to determine the performance of the three-cylinder Lawrance aviation engine with respect to reliability and durability under approximately service conditions. The performance of the engine throughout the test was good for a radial air-cooled engine. The major parts functioned satisfactorily. The troubles and failures were chiefly of a minor nature and involved parts the particular design of which was immaterial to the success of the engine assembly.en_US
