It is the purpose of this manual to outline a scheme for the perfection of a pursuit pilot and it is not proposed to define herein a course of training describing a set of rules or regular tactics to be adhered to. Knowledge gained from past experiences in pursuit flying in action has been the guide in compiling this manual. In its scope it covers fundamentals necessary for inclusion of the knowledge necessary for the present day pursuit pilot. The finish and post training of the individual pilot and of the flight for combat will necessarily extend beyond principles herein given, dependent upon the problems involved and the knowledge acquired.en_US
