Fattening calves in Alabama : Investigations in cooperation with the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station

Abstract

The paper gives the details of three experiments in fattening calves in Alabama, two lots being fed during the winter on separate farms with various southern feeds, and the third lot carried through the winter and subsequently fattened while on pasture. These experiments form a part of the investigations in beef production which are being carried on by cooperation between the Alabama Experiment Station and [U.S. Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Industry].
